How did we get here

Mike Sanchez (father) was a talented motorcycle racer who began his career late, but still had countless wins in regional races and was a multi-track lap record holder.   Unfortunately, his racing career was cut short in his first year of professional racing due to injury.   Mike then started his own successful business, and family with Trinity Richardson (mother).  Trinity has a background in racing too, and was a competitive barrel racer. She also grew up riding and racing motorcycles and has a love for the sport.

When Mikey Lou was born, Mike and Trinity knew he had the perfect DNA . . . the racing mentality, speed, and competitiveness. . . to become one of the best American motorcycle racers out there.

Once Mikey Lou started racing, winning and becoming successful, the Sanchez family knew they needed to pave a path for Mikey Lou. Raising the next American MotoGP World Champion wasn’t going to be easy and they would have to go to where world champions are made.  Two years ago in 2020, the Sanchez family made the decision to leave their lives in the United States and move to Spain so that Mikey Lou could train and race among the elite in the world.

In April 2021, Mike, Trinity, and Mikey Lou moved to Malaga, Spain, to race with Cuna de Campeones. That first year, was a grounding experience of what it meant to live in a foreign country, and to train and race full time. After a successful Moto 5 season for Mikey Lou, making podiums and learning the racing circuits, the family decided to move north to Valencia, Spain.  Last year in 2022, Mikey Lou raced Moto 4 in the ESBK Spanish Championship, and finished the season as the first American to ever win a Moto 4 race!
